Environmental Strategy

The Saskatchewan Farm Energy Evaluation Program, which is funded by the provincial government, was developed to make farm producers more aware of where and how energy can be used more efficiently on the farm and in farming operations.

The Agricultural Operations Act is designed to ensure livestock operations develop and operate in a manner that protects surface water and groundwater. The Act requires certain types of intensive livestock operations to obtain plan approval. This self-evaluation is intended to assist livestock and poultry producers to determine if an approval is required.
